When it comes to pruning trees, sometimes less is more. Removing too many or too large of branches can place unnecessary stress on a tree and interfere with its natural growth and energy production. TREE REMOVAL

Tree removal can be sometimes necessary when a tree has become hazardous, severely damaged, diseased, or no longer suitable for its location. At Custom Tree Work, our goal is to preserve trees whenever possible. When a tree cannot be safely maintained, we carefully assess the situation and provide honest guidance so you can make the best decision for your property. If you are unsure whether a tree should be removed or preserved, we are glad to evaluate it and explain the available options.

When removal is needed, each job is thoughtfully planned to determine the safest and most efficient method. In many cases this involves climbing the tree and carefully lowering sections with ropes and rigging to protect nearby structures, landscaping, and utilities. When space allows, a tree may be safely felled from the ground.

Throughout the process, our team works deliberately to manage risk and carry out the work with professionalism and care. We take pride in leaving your property clean and orderly once the job is complete. Our goal is not only to remove the tree safely, but to care well for your property while doing so.

STUMP GRINDING

After a tree is removed, the remaining stump can be an obstacle in your yard and may interfere with mowing, landscaping, or future planting. Stump grinding is an efficient way to remove the visible portion of the stump and allow the area to be used again. At Custom Tree Work, we always contact JULIE (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators) before grinding so nearby underground utilities can be properly located and marked. Using specialized equipment, we typically grind stumps about 6–8 inches below ground level, reducing the stump to wood chips.

Once the stump is ground, the remaining wood chips can either be left to settle naturally or removed if you prefer. Grinding the stump helps improve the appearance of your yard, eliminates a tripping hazard, and allows the area to be replanted with grass or other landscaping. While we focus on the grinding and cleanup of the stump, we do not provide grass seeding or lawn restoration services.
