DSC_0081_edited.jpg

Are you interested in preserving you tree? Your tree can benefit you in many ways if you keep it well maintained.

Proper pruning techniques and pruning cuts can help your tree to thrive and remain healthy. Every tree has different needs based on the species, size, age, location, and health. Below are some of the options to think about when contemplating pruning your tree:

ELEVATION: This is a removal of lower branches

to a desired height.

CLEARANCE: This creates a desired space

between your tree and other structures.

DEADWOOD: This cleans up a tree as well as

promotes new growth.

THINNING: This allows more airflow and

through the canopy.

CROSSING BRANCHES: This is a removal of

branches that are overlapping each other.

STUBS: This is a removal of stubs left from

broken branches or improper pruning.

STRUCTURE PRUNE: This encourages healthier growth in younger trees.

SAFETY PRUNE: This is the removal of larger dead branches that could be potentially harmful.

STUMP GRINDING

Are you wondering what to do with your tree stump? Grinding the tree stump can prevent your tree from growing back and also  allow you to plant grass or something else in its place.

You can choose to leave the stump grindings in a mound over the hole or have them hauled away. The stump grindings can be used for mulching approximately one year after grinding the stump.
